privacy fences to block out your neighbor

Having neighbors can be a blessing, but it can also be very difficult. Having good neighbors that you can trust, that you like spending time with, and that aren't much of a problem can make living in your home much more enjoyable. Unfortunately, not every neighbor is a good neighbor. If you have an irritating neighbor that you don't exactly trust or want to spend time with, it may be time for you to invest in a nice privacy fence to divide the properties. My blog will show you the options of privacy fences that you have to consider to block out your not-so-enjoyable neighbor.

Oh Deer: Keeping Deer From Your Yard

If you have been experiencing problems with deer coming into your yard and getting in your garden, then you can make some changes around your yard that will help to keep them from coming in your yard and from destroying your flowers, fruits and vegetables. Here are some ways you can go about keeping your yard deer-free:

Use a homemade pepper spray

You can make a pepper spray solution yourself that will help keep the deer from eating the things in your yard. Take a variety of hot peppers and blend them with water. Put the mixture into a spray bottle and use it to spray anything and everything that you think the deer will eat in your yard. When you go to eat the fruits and vegetables that have been sprayed, you can get the spray off with mild dish soap and water.

Install a motion-activated sprinkler system

A motion activated sprinkler system can be installed around all the areas in your yard where you worry about the deer coming. When they walk in front of the motion sensors, the sprinklers will come on and spray them. You can set the motion sensors to go off when creatures of a certain weight trigger them. This way, you won't be wasting water by spraying every cat and bird that makes its way into your yard.

Install a fence around the border

A fence can be successful in keeping deer out of certain areas. However, it can be difficult to get a fence tall enough since some deer can jump extremely tall fences. There is one way you can have fencing installed that will keep the deer out, but it does take a bit more work. You can have a taller fence of about 6 feet installed right around the area where you want to deer to stay away. Around the entire border of that fence, on the outside, you can install a shorter fence. This fence should be at least a few feet tall and a couple feet out from the taller fence. The deer know they can't clear both fences and will get trapped between them. This will keep them from attempting the jump. A fencing company, like B & B Fence, can tell you more about deer fencing.

The information in this article is going to help you to reclaim your yard from deer so you can once again take pride in your garden and not worry about them destroying it out from under you.
